During the rest of this year, the Namib Primary School in Swakopmund will celebrate its 75th Birthday. The school informed about the following events, which have been prepared - and would like to invite all previous learners, parents, teachers and principals to make contact with the school so that they could receive more information and invitations. 20 August: Ruan de Waal will perform in the Aula. Ruan is a 12-year old boy from Aroab, who successfully sings Elvis hits. The performance starts at 19h00 and the entrance fee is N$ 20 per person. Tickets are available at the school, „Der Blumenkorb" or at the door that evening.

In the last trimester, summer will be welcomed with a fashion show, staged in the Aula of the school on 1 October at 18h30. Models will introduce clothes from Marinda Behrens‘ boutique „GEE BEE‘s". Entrance fee will be N$ 15 for adults and high school learners and N$ 5 for children and primary school learners. All entry tickets will form part of a lucky draw for a gift voucher. To end the most beautiful month of the year, October, a summer dance will give you the opportunity to shake or sway your bodies to the music of „Just Jack" in the town hall of Swakopmund. „Just Jack" is well known, as the band performed at the Klein Karoo Art Festival, it participated in the UUKASIE music show in London and too many to mention.

The price of tickets will be N$ 180 per couple. This includes fingerlicking snacks on each table.

The lovers of classical music will not be forgotten in this swinging summer season. Plans for a classical evening are in the pipeline. More detail will be available at a later stage.

For 2005 a very special event is planned to commemorate the laying of the foundation stone of the building. This will take place in February 2005, when invited guests will be entertained in a special VIP tent.
