The Northern Regions Electricity Distributor (Nored) has denied allegations by Swapo Party Youth League Secretary Paulus Kapia, who had appeared on NBC TV saying, the company is sabotaging the President.

Kapia had said that Nored had planned an electricity failure while Nujoma was speaking at the official inauguration of the Olute Food Research and Development and the Community Skills Development Centre (Cosdec) at Ondangwa last Friday.

Nored Spokesperson Frans Niikondo said that the power failure was the result of a damaged underground cable running from the NamWater camp to Ondangwa north. „It was just an u8nfortunate situation" he added.
