Sunday 19th of September 2004 President Sam Nujoma will leave for New York this weekend to bid his farewell as head of state to the UN General Assembly, which sits from 19 to 22 September. On 20 September, Nujoma will receive the African National Achievement Award from the African-American Institute (AAI) during a gala dinner. From New York, Nujoma will travel to Madrid, Spain, where he will inter alia address an investor conference. Between 26 and 28 September, the President will visit France. He will have talks with President Jacques Chirac, UNESCO and members of MEDEF, an institution similar to a chamber of commerce. |
