Friday 8th of October 2004 WINDHOEK OPTICS RAMBLERS Windhoek Optics Ramblers travel to Walvis Bay this weekend to play the first two games of the 2004/5 Premier League.The programme is as follows: Saturday, 16H00: Eleven Arrows vs Windhoek Optics Ramblers Sunday, 15H00: Blue Waters vs Windhoek Optics Ramblers Good luck to the Technical Director Jorge da Purificacao, coach Tollie van Wyk and the entire team!! HOCKEY The Premier League ladies held current logleaders Unam to a very commen-dable 0:0 draw last Saturday. This result means that the league is wide open now. Players that excelled for Ramblers were Anke Haensel, Candice Coetzee, Dagmar Räntsch, Tania Frankle and Silke Pennefather. This weekend the Ladies Premier league side takes on Wanderers while the Men Premier league side take on Unam at the Union fields. Good luck to all of you!! OLD BOYS The Old Boys travel to Cape Town this weekend where they will be participating in the prestigious and popular Horsti Pietzsch tournament. Other participating teams are SKW from Windhoek as well as Germany, Old Mutual and The Scots from Cape Town. Unfortunately DTS and SFC will not be taking part this year. The Ramblers touring party consists of Steini Steinfurth, Spargel Spangehl, Stakes Coetzee, Pieter Snyman, Uwe Wolff, Vormann Behrens, Butzi Schulze, Mark Kutzner, Gunter Penzhorn, Mario Reiter, Ulf Grüttemeyer, Heiko Denker, Ferdi Schröder, Gero Diekmann and Harald Hecht. We wish our Old Boys a fun filled trip!! STRIDERS The Ramblers Striders ladies team took second place in the Great Train race to Aris last weekend. This was in the walking division. Well done ladies! VIP CLUB Our one and only Jeff Luck was at the Club last Friday night at 19H00 to pick up the N$ 1000. Well done "you biscuit"!! The weekly jackpot is thus back at N$ 100 this Friday. |
