More Election Fraud

A serious claim of elections fraud was raised by Frans Goagoseb, leader of the NMDC. He alleged that over 50 people living on the government resettlement farm were "forced" by SWAPO organisers to vote for SWAPO before the elections. They allegedly came with ballot books to the farm Chaka, 40 kms south of Gobabis on the road to Aminuis and made the people vote, according to the National Society for Human Rights. On Election Day, the same group of people was allegedly transported by these party officials to the nearest voting station and were told to again vote for SWAPO. Officials of CoD, Swanu and RP travelled to the farm on Thursday to investigate. NHSR director Phil ya Nangoloh and an official of the Electoral Commission also travelled there. All parties were expected to return to Windhoek on Thursday night.
