At Namib i changes are early in the year. Theresa Rothmann, who has been our Information Officer at the Main Information Centre has left us on the 14th of January. In her place with immediate effect we have temporarily appointed Mrs Hella Pfeiffer who has been working as Temp for Namib i for quite some time.

Also we are pleased to announce that we have secured the services of another two temp ladies who have started training on Monday 17 January 2005 to cover us for weekends etc. They are Mrs Anna Stamm and Mrs Brigitte Winson. They are both fully trilingual. Please be patient with them as they have lots to learn but are eager to do so and looking forward to being at your service. Should anybody from the tourism industry wish to offer educationals to any of the staffmembers as to introduce their services to them first hand, these must be channeled via my office only.

A permanent decision as to the full time position of the Information Officer will be made in due course by the Namib i Management Committee. As we are now first training our new temp staff, we will postpone start of the "Teens in Tourism" programme for 2005 to the end February 2005. Should you know of any young schoolleaver who deserves a chance in this programme, please do not hesitate to let us have their details now already.
