Tunacor temporarily closed

Tunacor Fisheries announced the temporary suspension of its wet-fish operations (fleet and processing facilities) for 3 to 4 weeks. The MD of Tunacor, Luis Barreras said that the continued poor fishing environment experienced together with adverse economic and market related conditions, resulted in the company’s performance below expectations. - During the temporary shut down, a certain number of employees will carry on with planned maintenance and essential services. Barreras added that the freezer trawler fleet would continue operations as usual.
