Friday 1st of April 2005 At 2h00 on Sunday, 3 April 2005, Namibians have to turn their clocks back one hour to enter winter time, which is one hour in advance of Greenwich mean time.This practice is in accordance with the Namibian Time Act, 1994, Act No. 3 of 1994, which regulates winter and summer time in Namibia. The Act stipulates that Namibia enters winter time at 2h00 on the first Sunday in April of every year and reverts back to summer time at 2h00 on the first Sunday of September every year. During summer time Namibia is two hours in advance of Greenwich mean time. |
