Alexander Forbes Risk Services Namibia acquired 70% of the corporate/commercial/ farming book of Standard Insurance Brokers. All the existing short term insurance customers in these 3 categories, who were serviced by SIBN now fall under Alexander Forbes. According to the Managing Director of Forbes, Herman Krause, this move became necessary as these customers have specialized insurance needs and Forbes has been operating in this field for many years. SIBN will focus more on the remaining Personal Lines Business that will remain wholly owned, serviced and marketed by Standard Insurance Brokers Namibia.
