The Namibian Inline Hockey team has qualified to take part in the World Championship which is being held in Kuopio in Finland from the 9 th of July till the 16 th of July 2005

The Namibian team is very busy training and determined to make an impact in this prestigious event. One training camp has already been held in Swakopmund for four days over Easter

with a very hard fitness test. The next Training camp will be held in Windhoek at the end of this month at the DHPS multiple sports field.

The parents and the players are putting in large contributions to-wards the effort but because of the exchange rate and flight tickets and the fact that we are going to play in one of Europe’s most expensive countries, a substantial amount of money has to be raised

The Namibian InLine Hockey will be selling discount books for 200 dollars a book with 48 vouchers which contain mostly discounts .We would like to thank all participating businesses for their support. It is really appreciated and we hope your businesses will reap profits from this project.

Other projects to try and raise money for this trip overseas is the selling of space on the jerseys. Our National team will be playing a few matches against the All Star which will consist of Non-Namibian players like the goalie coach Cater Herz , Roman Marx who is also assisting the training of the National side as well as some Namibians that did not make it to the team

There was a fund raiser over the Easter Weekend in Swakop which managed to raise 10,000 Nam Dollars and as we say every bit helps . Should any one like more information please contact Tom Mutavdzic 081 128 0496 or Ulrike Rodenwoldt 081 240 1111
