The Hospitality Association of Namibia (HAN) will hold its annual general meeting on 12 May at a Windhoek hotel to coincide with the holiday and travel expo which runs at the Windhoek show grounds from 11 to 14 May. Aims are to restructure the organisation to bring HAN closer to its members and their particular interests, in terms of representation at management level and within HAN. With the new structure, all categories within the Association from the big hotels, to the smallest Bed & Breakfast establishment, will within their groups, have more direct, equal and fair representation and input in decisions and actions taken by HAN, while the membership fee contributions will be staggered on a fair basis to allow affordable access for all sectors. On 14 May, the annual tourism awards ceremony organised by HAN will be held at a Windhoek hotel.
