Mr Lazarus Sheefeni Uaandja was appointed by Cabinet as executive director of the Central Governance Agency (CGA), which is still in the making. The ministry of finance will second two officials to the CGA, until the agency is fully operational. After that, their positions will be reconsidered, subject to the recommendation of the executive director. The new body, which is to restructure all the 40 plus state owned enterprises (SOE’s) and supervise their fiscal management, is virtually a new mini ministry, or at least yet another SOE. Start up capital of five million N$ will come from state coffers.
