The oldest tourism information office in Namibia has been privatised with Ms Almuth Styles as the new owner. Originally set up by the Swakopmund municipality and the business sector about 30 years ago, Namib i will however remain the official tourism centre for the entire Erongo Region and for Swakopmund. The town council approved the offer of Ms Styles at its monthly meeting end of April, but no figures were disclosed. The office will from now on be open 7 days a week and it seeks closer cooperation with the Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) and the Namibia Academy for Tourism & Hospitality (NATH).
