WINDHOEK OPTICS RAMBLERS The unbeaten run of our Premier League outfit, Windhoek Optics Ramblers, continues.

On the weekend of 7-8 May we travelled to Tsumeb where we managed to collect six points!

In Saturday’s game we beat Benfica 3:2 in a hard fought battle. Captain Quinton Jacobs equalised for Ramblers in the 35. minute with a long range effort. In the 50. Minute sweeper Michael Pienaar put Ramblers ahead when he beat the offside trap of the Benfica on the overlap. Bernardine M’Bilizi increased the score to 3:1 in the 65. minute with a well taken free kick from 25 metres. Benfica pulled one back two minutes before the end. In the second game Windhoek Optics Ramblers comfortably beat Chief Santos 3:1. Goalscorers for Ramblers were Patrick M’Kontwana (2) and Amy Savihemba. Well done guys!!

Last weeknd we played African Stars at home on Saturday. A very determined African Stars side managed to hold Windhoek Optics Ramblers to a goalless draw after twelve successive wins.

Windhoek Optics Ramblers, however, recovered well on Sunday when Orlando Pirates were beaten 3:2 thanks to goals by Tommy Kaimbi, Nico Nicodemus and Michael Pienaar. This is a commendable result as a few key players were not available due to injuries. This weekend we are playing at home as follows:

Saturday - 15H00 Windhoek Optics Ramblers vs Life Fighters

Sunday - 13H00 Windhoek Optics Ramblers vs Golden Bees

Good luck guys!

OLD BOYS

The Old Boys league started last Wednesday and Ramblers played their first match away against DTS that was won 3:0. In the other match SKW beat Epukiro 3:2.

The next round will be played on 1 June at SKW.
