20-year-old Josephine Kalombo appeared in the Windhoek‘s Magistrate‘s Court this week, after working at the Robert Mugabe Clinic since May as a trainee doctor without having any qualifications. The case was postponed to 23 September and she was granted bail of N$ 800. Since Kalombo worked as a trainee and volunteer, she received no pay. Now she is facing charges of fraud and contravening the Nursing Profession‘s Act. Kalombo was not appointed by the ministry, but she dispensed medicine and vaccinated babies.
