Victim tied to a tree

Robbers became very daring on Monday, when they attacked a resident of Brakwater at around 20h00, just when he opened the gate to his farm, Plot 50. He was forced to get back into his Prado and driven to Döbra, where he was tied to a tree. The four men took 2 sewing machines, a DVD player, a tape recorder, food and US$ 1000 in cash along. They also stole the car, which was later found at the Monte Christo Road. According to the police, the suspects are still at large.

Swakop Primary School vandalised

The premises of the Swakopmund primary school a government school were vandalised over the weekend. The cupboards of three classrooms were forced open and their contents thrown on the floor while desks and chairs were moved around and windowpanes shattered. According to a reliable source, the culprits were children, who had a "field day", wreaking havoc in three different classrooms.
