Saturday 23rd of July 2005 Ramblers Colts beat SKW 2:1 in their final league match played last Thursday night. Wieland Klinger put Ramblers in the lead in the 33. Minute when he scored on his 18. birthday. SKW equalised in the 38. minute. The second half saw both teams creating numerous chances, but in the end it was Agnelo Diaz who got the winner for Ramblers. This win means that Ramblers have officially ended in second position on the log having the same number of points as SKW. SKW won the league based on the better goal average. However, had the latest international FIFA trends been followed, Ramblers would have won the league as they won both matches against their direct competitor for the league title, SKW!! This little technicality should not be over-emphasized, however! The objective of breeding young players for the future has been largely achieved in the Colts first season and we look forward to the further development of these players ultimately leading to Premier League calibre!! Congratulations to convenor and coach Jo Duwe and the entire team on a job well done!! HOCKEY No games were played last week.
