Sunday 11th of September 2005 The political career of SWAPO fire brand Paulus Kapia has received further setbacks with the ministry of works taking back his furniture he bought for N$ 49 000 only 4 months ago. Deputy ministers and ministers receive an allowance over 5 years to buy furniture for their offices and their private homes. If they do not serve the full legislative term, they can buy the furniture back, if they have the cash. In Kapia’s case, he said he would not buy it and the ministry of works, transport, and communication collected his furniture this week to store it until it is sold on an auction. Kapia was also "put on leave" until 5 October, which is virtually a suspension, by the SWAPO Youth League |
