Another great weekend saw Windhoek Optics Ramblers record their eigth and ninth consecutive in convincing fashion scoring fifteen goals in the process. On Saturday we beat Friends in Rehoboth 9:2. Ellington Tjirimuje opened the score for Windhoek Optics Ramblers after a tussle for the ball in the Friends goalmouth. Patrick Jagger scored soon therafter after a fine cross from Henrico Botes to make the score 2:0 at halftime. In the second half Friends pulled one back before Henri-co Botes scored his first goal. Friends then scored through a penalty. But therafter the floodgates opened for Windhoek Optics Ramblers and the superior fitness paid off. Henrico Botes scored another two goals in quick succession to earn a well deserved hattrick. Rudi Louw, Victor Helu(2) and substitute Ronnie Kavendjie added another four goals in the final ten minutes when Friends where completely outclassed. On Sunday we entertained Young Ones at home. Henrico Botes opened the scoresheet for Windhoek Optics Ramblers with a well taken header after twenty minutes and Ali Majiedt increased the score to 2:0 before half time. In the second half Ramblers battled to penetrate the goalmouth area of Young Ones initially, but in the 75. Minute Rudi Louw scored from a penalty after a foul on Henrico Botes. Thereafter three more goals followed through defender Giuseppe Calabre-se(Bravo Pepi!)while captain Rudi Louw added another two goals to bring the final score to 6:0.

Windhoek Optics Ramblers has now moved to second position on the logstandings!

We wish you good luck and are holding thumbs for another six points! SOCIAL SOCCER LEAGUE Our first league game was played last Thursday when we beat SKW II 4:2 at SKW. SKW were leading 2:1 at one stage and Victor Blaauw missed a penalty for Ramblers. Therafter Ramblers came back strongly to score three goals and seal the game. Goalscorers were Charlie Shikeso, Ronnie Kavendjie, Victor Blaauw and Patrick Jagger.

Well done, guys. This weekend we are playing two games:

Friday, 18H30 at DTS: DTS vs Ramblers Saturday, 14H00 at home: Ramblers vs Crusaders.

We urge all Ramblers fans and interested persons to support our teams this weekend!

Our ladies are travelling to Walvis Bay this weekend with three teams to partake in the Powerade All Day tournament.

OLD BOYS

A very successful dance and raffle draw was held at the Lapa last Saturday night and everybody enjoyed the superb dinner and super music!

A special thanks to all those who made this evening possible. A list of raffle prize winners is published in this edition of PLUS. Thank you very much for your support! Ramblers Old Boys will be leaving on a tour to Germany from 13-29 May 2003 and the proceeds of the raffle will be utilised to finance the bus for the duration of the tour.

VIP CLUB

The weekly jackpot thus currently still stands at N$ 250 as Lutz Hecht was not present at the Club last Friday night when his number was drawn.
