LADIES HOCKEY

Ramblers have entered a young side "Smarties" consisting of players between the ages of 8-10 years in the beginners Hockey league this year. They have lost their first games against much older opponents from Windhoek Old Boys and Academia 0:2 and 0:1 respectively, but the foundation is being laid for a bright future of Ramblers ladies hockey! The players in action are: Katja Smith (10) - daughter of Kenny & Verena Smith, who has just made a comeback for Ramblers Hockey Tatjana Coetzee(8) - daughter of former soccer star Stakes Coetzee, Britta Haensel(8) - daughter of current Ramblers hockey player Anke Haensel, granddaughter of "Ertjies", Mia Ballotti(8) - daughter of Ramblers chairman Luigi Ballotti, Steffi Neustädt(10) - niece of current Ramb-lers hockey player Dagmar Räntsch, Jannike Brink(8) - a newcomer. This team is coached by none other than Silke Pennefather ably assisted by Verena Smith and Michaela Dedig. Congratulations to all of you on a fine effort!

OLD BOYS

The Old Boys under new coach Mark Kutzner will participate in a seven-a-side tournament on Otjiwarongo this weekend. This tournament will be appropriately hosted by the Old Age Home and other teams participating are SKW, DTS, SFC, Otjiwarongo and Kalkfeld. We wish everyone a lot of fun. Please note that the draw for the raffle of the tickets currently on sale for the May 2003 Germany tour will now be held on Saturday, 5 April and not at the end of February as earlier announced.
