Prof Mburumba Kerina a member of the Ovaherero/Ovambanderu Council for the Dialogue on the 1904 Genocide (OCD) will deliver a paper at the conference in Oslo on the 1904-1908 Ovaherero & Ovambanderu Genocide by the then German colonial regime in Namibia. The conference will be attended amongst others by many Africans in whose countries Genocide was committed. "The conference and invitation came at the right moment in time to remind the newly elected German Government about the plight of the Ovaherero and Ovambanderu Communities and all Namibians who were affected by the German colonial war and Genocide of 1904-1908", the OCD said in a statement this week. Kerina is the initiator of the lawsuit against the German government. He was suited to explain about that lawsuit on the one hand whilst having full mandate of the OCD to speak on its vision, aims, and objectives pertaining to dialogue with the German government. On his return from Oslo, Kerina will touch down in Germany to meet with friends of the OCD for discussions and to strengthen the friendship, the OCD said.
