Omaruru, Namibia’s most unique town, is enjoying increasing attention in both local and international media.

More than 30 artists live in or around Omaruru. There are numerous bed-and-breakfasts, hotels, lodges, guest farms and hunting farms, not to mention various local events and attractions throughout the year.

For this reason, Omaruru is proud to launch its first annual pocket-sized "information map", which draws visitors’ attention to interesting places to visit both in and around the town. Two maps are included: one of the town itself and a second showing Omaruru and its surrounding area. Interesting information is also provided about the town’s recent history.

Why has the Visitor’s Guide to Omaruru been published?

- To increase awareness of Omaruru in Namibia and internationally.

- To promote existing establishments, artists, shopping outlets and local events.
