Saturday 10th of December 2005 The World Trade Organisation (WTO) ministerial conference will take place next week from 13 to18 December in Hong Kong. The WTO is the main international body that decides the rules that govern international trade. There are 148 member countries that negotiate throughout the year on trade issues. Namibian civil society organisations will organise a march from the Ramatex textile factory to the UN Plaza in Katutura this Saturday, 10 December. The march will start at 9h00. Speeches by relevant stakeholders will follow the arrival at the UN Plaza. This event is organised by the Namibia Development Trust/Namibia Non-Governmental Organisations Forum (NDT/NANGOF), the Coalition on the Millennium Development Goals and the Big Issue magazine.
