NTB Inspects Coastal Guest Houses

The Namibia Tourism Board (NTB) will step up its inspection rounds over the festive season at the coast, with spot-checks on hotels, pensions and bed & breakfast establishments, to ensure that all those providing short-term accommodation over this period, are registered with the NTB.

PLUS was reliably informed that registered establishments were still complaining about the abundance of self-catering apartments and other accommodation facilities at the coast, which apparently still do not hold a NTB registration.

The names of unregistered accommodation places can e-mailed to the NTB, at: quality@namibiatourism.com.na or faxed to 061-254848 in Windhoek.
The NTB might possibly establish a permanent NTB inspector at the coast next year, to be able to cater for the high demand in that area.
