Inflation Rate Below 10 Per Cent

For the first time in 11 months Namibia’s inflation rate dropped below the 10% mark, to 9,8 percent for March 2003, compared to March 2002. In November 2002 the inflation rate rose as high as 13,71 percent. According to the Central Bureau of Statistics, food prices decreased by 25 percent on an annual rate. However, food prices were still high at 14,6 % on an annual rate, the Bureau said.
