Friday 10th of February 2006 The event took place at the DTS Sports Grounds and again it was a huge success. 156 mixed and 24 men’s teams (total 180 teams) had to play 511 games. Some 3500 players and spectators enjoyed a fun filled sport event, which could perhaps be called the biggest team sport event on the African continent. (A challenge in this regard has not proven wrong this assumption to date). Even the rain that came pouring down at around 14h00 couldn’t discourage the players nor the spectators and the finals could be played on schedule. These finals were extremely close and exciting, showing a high standard of volleyball. Results: Mixed: 6-a-side 1. Die Pauker (DHPS teachers) 29:28 against 2. NETS (Namibian Evangelical Theological Seminary) 3. Intracom Mix (FP du Toit Transport) 31:28 against 4. Grant Thornton 2 (Grant Thornton Neuhaus) Men 6-a-side: 1.
