Windhoek residents can now pay their municipal bills at any post office in the whole country. The Windhoek municipality signed an agreement with NamPost to make the paying of electrciy and water bills easier from 1 March 2006. All 120 post offices are now fully computerised and linked to a central network, enabling this service. According to the City’s CEO, Niilo Taapopi, the City saves investing into new cash halls and staff by making use of this service. NamPost will receive a commission for the service. Happy about the agreement on Wednesday were Niilo Taapopi (R) and Sakaria Nghikembua (L), CEO of NamPost. Photo: Brigitte Weidlich
