The 2005 National men, Club Champions Elegance kept their superb form by winning the opening Volleyball tournament at the WCE hall in Khomasdal over the weekend. - Elegance however got an early scare when the got beaten in their opening match by the Katatura Giants Revivals in two sets to one.

The Khomasdalers however came back and beat their fieriest rivals Killers by two sets to null and WCE Bulls also by the same margin to see them trough to the finals. - The finals was a one sided affair as Elegance seemed to strong for Revivals with Ettiene Mouton, Matt Hussellmann and last years MVP Goddard Hussellmann being in top form, taken the honors by two sets to zero.

According to Killers Coach Deon Cloete " Elegance will be a tough team to beat this season, they seem very focus and is in good form so early ".

He also stressed that They look forward to see Elegance in Walvisbay from the 17 - 19 March at the Savva Doc Tournament.

In the women section Elegance played magnificent, beating WCE Bulls and Revivals to go through to the finals. - In the finals it was a different ball game when Revivals took a set from the up beat Elegance to set up a thrilling finale.

But with veteran playmaker Esme Du Plessis the Khomasdal girls hold on and won their first tournament for the season.

According to Dirkie Beukes " my teams are well prepared and we want to scoop everything this year to ad to our title of last season. My players showed great commitment and are focused on the task ahead ".
