The National Fistball League 2006 kicked off to a great start this weekend at the SKW Sport fields.

As predicted will the Nation ‘A’ League title only be decided over SKW 1 ‘ performance, as the Windhoek side won all 4 games, the most vital one against a very gallantly fighting Cohen 1 in three sets. Cohen 1 hard a really hard day, as they lost as well to the SKW 2 in three sets. Swakop 1 looks like to strongest challenger, as they as well did win all their games. DTS 1, playing for the first time in the National ‘A’ league, found the going quite tough, but got some encouragement, with a two sets win over the disappointing SKW 3 side.

In the National ‘B’ league, did Cohen 3 again show why the won the title last year, with a flawless performance, and with Swakop 2 also here being the strongest challenger. SKW will have to improve the game, if they want to come out tops.

The SKW u 20 side made a great start into the league, with two out of two, and importantly a two set win again the Windhoek rivals Cohen.

Last years u 15 Champions SKW 1 had a horrible start into the league, loosing the first two games, against Cohen 1 and against their own SKW 2 team. Cohen 1’s performance showed the most improvement over last year, with some very players coming through the ranks.

The second league round will be played in two weeks in Swakopmund.
