The German and Netherlands Embassy in Namibia would like to bring to attention that the responsibility for issuing visas for the Benelux (Belgium, the Netherlands and Luxemburg) will be transferred to the German Embassy as of 1 April 2006.

This transfer concerns Schengen visas (for short stays) including visas for diplomatic and official passport holders with Belgium, the Netherlands or Luxemburg as the main destination of travel. The German Embassy will deliver the visas with exactly the same requirements as formerly used by the Royal Netherlands Embassy.

Long stay visas (for study, family-reunification, work etc.) will have to be applied for at respectively the Belgian and Netherlands Embassy in Pretoria for Belgium and the Netherlands and at the Luxemburg Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Luxemburg for Luxemburg.
