Grootfontein Caravan Park changes hands

The Olea Caravan Park operated by the Grootfontein Municipality was privatized on 15 March 2006.The business is now privately operated by Mr Hannu Aupindi under the name Olea Town Lodge for his own account. He can be reached at hannu@namibnet.com or at 0811-24 3492. No new tariff structure is available at this moment, but reservations will remain as booked, the municipality announced.

 

Woman steals cash at Okaukuejo

A 22-year old woman was arrested at the Okaukuejo rest camp in the Etosha National Park last week for allegedly stealing half a million Namibia dollars in cash. The woman apparently took N$ 514 570, the income of the Okaukuejo rest camp between November 2005 and 15 March, 2006 instead of depositing it into the bank, the police said in its crime report.
