Friday 14th of April 2006 Ramblers beat African Stars 1:0 at the Independence stadium last Sunday! After a goalless first half, Ramblers were unlucky in the 48. minute when John Samson’s shot hit the post. Ramblers continued pushing forward in customary fashion and were finally rewarded in the 62. minute when John Samson’s header found the back of the African Stars net after a cross from Ali Majiedt. It was once again a super team effort by Ramblers with the superior fitness of our team proving to make the difference in the second half. Well done, guys. Ramblers remain second on the log. There will be no Premier League action during the Easter weekend. Tommy Kaimbi, Diego Fransman and Maxi-milian Mbaeva will be representing Namibia in the Under-20 World Youth qualifying matches in DRC over this weekend. In two friendlies played last weekend at Gobabis Namibia won and lost against their counterparts from Botswana. The home side first won 1:0 with Ramblers striker Tommy Kaimbi scoring the only goal. Michael Pienaar, Victor Helu and Esau Tjiurou will be in action for the Presidential Invitational Eleven who will play against a team of all the regions participating in The Namibian newspaper cup in Walvis Bay on Monday. Good luck to all our national players this weekend!! RAMBLERS COLTS Our Colts team lost to SKW I 1:2 last Sunday afternoon. Coach Jo Duwe had to play this game without the three Under-20 national players who were in camp over the weekend. Our Colts team lost to SKW I 1:2 last Sunday afternoon.
