Solar power for Botswana

A massive rural electrification of at least 88 villages with solar power is expected to be rolled out in Botswana by the middle of this year. Finance Minister Baledzi Gaolathe announced the 34 million pula national rural photovoltaic electrification programme recently. He noted that the aim of the project is to improve access to energy services in rural areas and promote the use of renewable energy.
