President Hifikepunye Pohamba was in the north for 2 days. He inaugurates the new complex of Namibia Post & Telecom Holdings, the holding company of Telecom Namibia, MTC and NamPost on Thursday afternoon. The new complex will serve as the hub of the NPTH group of companies to ensure the rolling out of the telecommunications and postal services into the Omusati, Oshana, Ohangwena, and Oshikoto regions. On Friday morning, 28 April, the president presided over the inauguration of the Omusati regional council building. At the same occasion, the symbolic handing over of the Okavango regional council building was also taking place. Chinese builders constructed the 2 complexes. On Friday night, the head of state flies back to Windhoek to open the NUNW congress.
