Cocaine found in Brazilian corpse Friday 28th of April 2006 A bizarre attempt to smuggle cocaine worth N$205,000 from Brazil to Namibia in the stomach, ended with death for 26-year old woman. Police were summoned to Bergland Flats in Windhoek along Mugabe Avenue on Tuesday afternoon, because a woman died there. Investigations disclosed that Darlin da Silva Paiva arrived from Brazil with her husband. The woman got sick on the flight and died in the Windhoek flat after arrival. She had 31 cocaine parcels on her stomach. The husband was also searched and 13 parcels found in his stomach. He was arrested. The total weight of both smugglers’ cocaine was 585 grams valued at N$292,500, Chief Inspector Hieronymus Goraseb said. |
