Incentive Days at the Nest

Nest Hotel

A few days ago three private charter aircraft landed on the Lüderitz Airport, with 40 VIP guests on board. At the airport the big coach hired for these VIP guests was waiting for them, ready to bring them through to their accom-modation pre-booked at the Lüderitz Nest Hotel.

At 17h00 the group arrived at the Hotel, on check-in a welcome drink was handed to them, quick registration and everyone was off to their rooms.

Monday evening these guests had a magnificent Fish Braai and Carvery Buffet in the Penguin Restaurant and they partied the night away. Early the next morning was breakfast and afterwards they left for the airport for their day out to Oranjemund. Later that afternoon they were back at the airport where the Ghost Town guide took them on a tour through Kolmanskop.

On returning from this tour everyone went to refresh themselves. Then they were ready to enjoy a true Namibian BBQ prepared for them on the Oyster Bar’s Terrace. Different sundowner cocktails were ordered and enjoyed while all were watching the sun set. The extremely calm weather enhanced the atmosphere and each and everyone enjoyed this BBQ with the wide range of seafood, oysters, prawns, crayfish, meat and much more to choose from. Many complained that time was running too fast.

Wednesday morning after they’ve enjoyed their sunrise breakfast, every-one was ready to leave for day out. They went out on a coastal tour to the Bogenfels with their private charters. This was something this group couldn’t stop talking about.

At the Nest Hotel the Staff was busy preparing an unforgettable evening for them, making sure this will be the reason to their next visit.

A Gala Dinner Menu was offered to them in the Diamond Room, where they were briefed on the Mining and Diamond Industry of Namibia.

It turned out to be a very late night for this group, with all the partying and eating and entertainment.

Many calls of "Can’t we extend this stay" were heard, but like with all good things, the next morning came and it was time to leave.

Excited and fully involved, the staff of the Lüderitz Nest Hotel already started talking about what they could offer them on their next visit.

Luderitz is becoming more and more the focal point for business of Southern Namibia. Instead of traveling from one place to the next, people establish their base here and move to the other places without the discomfort of packing and unpacking their bags every day. Conferences are being planned the same way by companies and NGO’s. The Photo shows Marius the Chef and Chris Isaaks the F&B Manager on the right; they are both part of the staff of the Lüderitz Nest Hotel.
