It was a happy moment for outgoing manager of the Cancer Association of Namibia Kurt Johannesson (L), when he received N$700,000 on behalf of the organisation from Bank Windhoek chairman Koos Brandt (R) on Wednesday. The "Cancer Apple Project" of Bank Windhoek collected the large sum in the past weeks by distributing apples to schools and organisations, who sold 680,000 apples to the public at N$2, thus raising the largest ever amount since the project started 1999.
