Bank Windhoek opens training centre

Deputy Finance Minister Tjekero Tweya officially opened the newly established Bank Windhoek Learning and Development Centre recently. The centre is at the Décor House building in Dr. W Külz Street in Windhoek. It is a top class educational facility established for training and educational purposes of Bank Windhoek staff members and the employees of its subsidiary company, Capricorn Investment Holdings.

"The Ministry of Education recognizes the important contribution that Bank Windhoek is making in equipping staff members with skills and knowledge that will lead to higher levels of socio-economic development and growth of our country", said the Tweya at the official opening ceremony. The Centre has a boardroom and 2 training halls for 25 people each. It is also equipped with a cafeteria. The computer laboratory houses the latest technology. James Hill, Managing Director of Bank Windhoek, highlighted that learning is one of the 5 values of Bank Windhoek, which emphasizes the importance of the development and growth of the Bank’s staff members. "The Training and Development Centre is an oasis of knowledge where staff members from different branches and departments can share, discuss, advise, solve problems, but most importantly, learn, and in doing so, be equipped to better serve our clients," Hill said.
