Bank Windhoek opened another branch in northern Namibia last week, this time at Ongwediva. Oshana Regional Governor Clemens Kashuupulwa inaugurated the new outlet at the NDC Business Park on 22 June. "In Namibia we need more proactive companies like Bank Windhoek that are willing to satisfy the needs of all Namibian citizens", Kashuupulwa said. It is the seventh branch Bank Windhoek opened as part of its expansion to northern and southern Namibia. Noordoewer in November 2003 was the first, followed by Eenhana in December 2003, Outapi in August 2004, Opuwo in December 2004, Okakarara in August 2005 and Aranos in February 2006. This expansion was partly funded by the British government, through its Department for International Development (DFID) as part of its Financial Deepening Challenge Fund (FDCF).

The officer-in-charge at the Ongwediva branch is Michael Ndeuyiika at 065-232 850 and fax: 065-232 862. Business hours of the Ongwediva branch are from 08h30 to15h30 from Mondays to Fridays and from 8h30 to 12h00 on Saturdays.
