Friday 30th of May 2003 Namibians who always dreamt of travelling to the ancient pyramids of Egypt, but could not do so because of high costs, can soon book a trip for only N$ 8000. Students need only pay N$ 5000. This amazing offer was made by the new Egyptian ambassador to Namibia, Dr Ahmed Hassan Darwish, who introduced his country as a tourist destination to journalists. The seven-day trip includes 2 nights in Cairo and a 3-day cruise on the River Nile. The price includes three meals per day. A visa can be obtained at the Egyptian embassy within one day. Passports must be valid for 6 months. According to Dr Darwish this special offer was made possible in cooperation with this government’s tourism industry. Any PLUS readers who are interested in the trip and would like to be first ones preliminary booking list, can send their names and contact numbers to PLUS via e-mail per fax. PLUS is the only newspaper in Namibia organising trips for readers. |
