The SKW Gymnastics Academy is hosting the National Qualifying Competition in Rhythmic Gymnastics on 21 and 22 July 2006 at the SKW Hall in Windhoek, Olympia.

About 140 gymnasts from Walvis Bay, Swakopmund, Tsumeb and Windhoek will compete in various levels and age groups, starting on Friday at 14h00 with Level 5, 6 and 7 as well as the group dances. Prize-giving for the day will be at 18h00.

On Saturday morning the top gymnasts in Namibia can be seen in action with rope, hoop, clubs, ribbon and ball. Some of these gymnasts are preparing for the Zone 6 Competition in Harare, Zimbabwe as well as the African Championships in Cape Town, South Africa later this year. In the afternoon and evening the gymnasts of the Levels 1, 2, 3 and 4 will have their competition. Prize-giving will be at 20h00.

Furthermore, the SKW Gymnastics Academy will send a team of 22 gymnasts and 4 officials to the Tuks Rhythmic Gymnastics Invitational Competition on 28 and 29 July.
