The ministry of trade and industry (MTI) has simplified some measures regarding applications for shebeens, one being the application form itself. Regional Liquor Licensing Committees must now also sit 12 times per year instead of only 4 times as before. Applications must be submitted to these committees between 42 and 60 days before the meetings.
