A slideshow and discussion about Young Art in Bremen

Friday 28th of July 2006
Imke Rust

Most of you know that I have recently been in Bremen for 3 months on an artist-in-residency program (Bremer Kunststipendium). There I had the opportunity to see many interesting, innovative and exciting art exhibitions. Now I would like to share these impressions, images and ideas with you in the form of an informal slideshow and discussion.

I have slides, which I would like to show and discuss first. For those who are interested to stay on, I will then show a fascinating DVD (entitled: Screen Spirit) on international video art (video projections, video sculptures, video installations), which shows a group exhibition and explains the concepts of the different art works. It also has a very interesting behind-the-scene part, on how the exhibition has been conceptualised and installed.

Please bring own drinks, snacks, pillows and blankets (if it is still this cold…) to enjoy a comfortable and inspiring evening of art and discussions with me.

Venue: Goethe Centre/NaDS (1-5 Fidel Castro Str)

Date: 1 August 2006

Time: 18h00

Entrance is free, but donations are welcome.
