Buccaneers Squash Club is proud to be hosting the Namibian Open Squash Tournament sponsored by MultiChoice Namibia (Pty) Ltd and Namsov Fishing Enterprises (Pty) Ltd in Walvis Bay, Namibia From the 11-13 August 2006.

A total of N$25 000.00 has been allocated in prize monies for this prestigious tournament, that will consist of an A Section of 16 men, a B Section of 32 men and a Ladies Section 16 females

Exciting players have entered for the men’s section of which some of the top seeded players are Lazerus Chilifwa (in the top10 of South Africa), Marco Becker (Western Province no.5), John Lingashi (Namibian no.1) and Henry Smit. Included in the draw is the S.A. under 14 Boys and Girls. No doubt about it the tournament will provide some excellent squash over the weekend.

Players will be in action at the Indoor Sports Centre and Buccaneers Squash Club from 14h00 on Friday, 11th August, and the Ladies and Men’s Finals will be held at Buccaneers Squash club on Sunday, 13th at approximately 11h00.

The public is welcome to attend the Finals and we encourage you to come and watch some of the top class squash that will be on display. If you have ever played squash you will be amazed at the fitness, control and court craft of the visiting players. This is an event not to be missed.
