Hanno Rumpf in Windhoek

Namibia's new ambassador in Germany, Mr Hanno Rumpf (photo), flew to Windhoek for a 5-day course on economic diplomacy this week, which was attended by 22 Namibian ambassadors. The course was chaired by foreign affairs minister Hidipo Hamutenya. It was opened on Monday by Prime Minister Theo-Ben Gurirab, who in a very thought-provoking speech reflected on the status quo of Africa and the apparent lack of political will to push for economic development.
