A group of 46 students from Goju Ryu Karate Namibia will represent Nami-bia at the I.O.G.K.F Africa Karate Cup in Bloemfontein, South Africa on the 19 August 2006.This event is also the 40th Anniversary of Goju Ryu Karate in Africa and will be a prestigious event. (I.O.G.K.F. International Okinawan Goju Ryu Karate Fede-ration). Only the best students were selected at the National Championships on the 17 June to represent Namibia at above prestigious event. Student from Windhoek, Gobabis & Walvis Bay had to train hard before they will travel by bus on the 17th August 2006 to Bloem-fontein. - Stiff competition is expected but the coaches are confidant that the Namibians will do very well again at this competition. The team will return back to Namibia on 21 August.
