The Church Benevolence Board at the Coast

The Huis Palms Home for Senior Citizens

The Kuisebmond Old Age Home

The Narraville Cultural Society

The SPCA

As part of Rotary International Campaign to eradicate polio worldwide, the Club assists the Namibian Ministry of Health and Social Services with the organizing of immunization days at the coast.

To ensure that TB patients are regularly taking their medication the Club provides funds for a TB Feeding scheme. Further the Club makes donations to the 4 High Schools in Walvis Bay to contribute to their annual prize giving events.

Also on an annual basis the Club provides funds to the West Coast Social Services Unit to take senior citizens on entertainment outings. The total amount contributed to the welfare needs of the community amounts to N$ 50 000 per annum.

Rotary is a worldwide organisation consisting of Clubs whose members are business and professional people who make sacrifices for the benefit of their communities by spending much of their time and resources on two main acti-vities: Firstly they create or parti-cipate in humanitarian projects like the polio eradication campaign, and secondly they organize fund raising events to generate finance for their projects as well as for welfare orga-nisations like the ones mentioned above.
