Red Cross to help Siamese twins Saturday 23rd of September 2006 The Namibia Red Cross Society (NRCS) is deeply committed to supporting the needs of the Siamese twins, born at Oshakati state hospital on September 11, 2006 and their 35 year old mother, Elizabeth Paulus is a grade 8 graduate and comes from the Iiwiyongo village in the Oshana region. She already has three older children and told the NRCS: "I do not know what I will do. As my children grow older, they will need proper care in terms of food and clothing." During a hospital visit the NRCS in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Social Services identified the following needs for immediate support: Baby formula, cot, blankets, clothing, cosmetics and financial support for current and future needs. The NRCS appeals to the public to render material or financial assistance to this family. Donations can be forwarded to Bank Windhoek account: "Tuyakula (support us) 1140765513, branch code: 481972. As part of the NRCS mandatory obligation to assist the most vulnerable in society, the Namibia Red Cross will facilitate all donations, for immediate and long-term relief. The NRCS extends its appreciation to the Oshiwambo Radio listeners, for their trust in the NRCS and for their prompt and pro-active response to the birth of the twins. On Thursday September 14 2006, The Oshiwambo Radio manager, Maria Amutenya, approached the NRCS to facilitate fundraising. The Namibia Red Cross Society appeals for humanitarian assistance to the twins and their family, during this time in their lives.
