On the occasion of celebrations marking the 90th anniversary of the Vita Royal House, equipment to the value of almost N$75 000.00 was handed over by the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany, Arne Freiherr von Kittlitz. This assistance was made available to the communities of the Vita Tom in the Kunene region within the framework of the micro-projects programme.- The equipment consists of 2 large and 8 smaller tents, a generator, a public address system and large cooking pots. It is intended for use by the community for traditional and other celebrations, also on a loan system, the fees of which are to be ploughed back into community funds.
The Vita Royal House conducts all traditional and developmental activities of the Vita Tom communities in the Kunene Region which are mostly dependant on contributions by the central government and rely heavily on those by community members.
