Saturday 3rd of February 2007 On Tuesday evening the Top Score-Ramblers 7-A-Side Tournament 2007 was launched in the Ramblers Lapa. Mark Kutzner started proceedings, when he announced an improved prize money of N$ 8000 for the winners of the competition to which 64 participating teams have registered.Since there are 8 groups of 8 teams each, at least 7 games (and fun) are guaranteed to the participating corporate teams. Kutzner explained that a rukle had to be added to this years proceedings in that litter must be controlled and „no beverages, containers or beer may be taken onto the premises“. If these are bouight inside, „it is our responsibility to clean the mess“. The Municipal permission to go on until late night was „with this condition attached“. He appealed to participants to watch Africa One TV on Monday nights since there would be exclusive and comprehensive programmes scheduled on „the 7-A-Side“ Tournament. The Finals of the last 16 teams will this year be played in the Sam Nujoma stadium, Kutzner announced. Top Score is proud to sponsor the tournament once again. In a press release, it was stated that this year the first round matches will again be played on a round robin format. 32 teams will advance to the next stage which is then played on a knock out system. Top Score will present a trophy to the most disciplined team as well as to the top goal scorer of the tournament. The sponsorship of N$ 55 000 means that prize money could be increased by N$ 1500 more for the winners, who will now receive N$ 8000. The second placed team will receive N$ 4 500, the third N$ 3 000 and the fourth place will earn the respective team N$ 1250. Top Score has now sponsored the popular competition for 5 years in a row.
